My grieving is not only for the victim whose voice becomes silenced, even as the tweets are removed from the news articles I read them in, but grieving overall for Hollywood, for cinema, for the movie theatres where who knows what has happened.
I had to mourn the loss of the Alamo, even as it remains open, showing films, no sign that what happened happened, it did happen, people going with or without different levels of grudges for Tim, people unaware of what happened, when, after all, it is difficult to get through who else is a predator. The responses the same, lack of memory, heavy drinking, sorry if they hurt them, as if it was just the feelings instead of real feelings in a real world.
