At the Movies as a chapbook
To tell you a little about the project: With its roots in documentary poetics, At the Movies with the Predator is the merging of movie trailers with the Trump Era to find a way to face writing through trauma. Dialogues and plots are appropriated as what is said in a trailer resounds from a political figure. As a President Predator takes office, The Predator is released in theatres as the speaker discovers his friend is a predator, and Hollywood has its own #MeToo moment, this is a collection where the public and private are blurred, where the individual story is part of the collective story met through the movie camera lens.
