I've been thinking of memoir and self-representation. The selfie amazes me, as it is a self-representation where one is empowered by how one wants to be seen, versus how our culture constructs how one is seen. Leivan's work challenges the viewer to consider all of these things. Thank you, Michelle, for your work!
